Hilliard is one of Florida's northernmost towns, lying just seven miles south of the Florida/Georgia state line. It's lovely, rural setting is a draw for residents and visitors, in addition to its location as the intersection of County Road 108 and U.S. 301. The town operates as a municipality with its own mayor and city council. Hilliard is the home of a Federal Aviation Administration Facility, the town's largest employer, as well as Hilliard Airpark, one of the last remaining public grass landing strips in Florida.
