Shelley Nemethy of The Nemethy Group began her Real Estate Career in 2013 with Davidson Realty. She hit the ground running by earning Rookie of the Year and has not slowed down yet. She and her husband/partner earn the title “Top Producing Team” on a regular basis. They have sales totaling over $75 Million.


Shelley’s professional and personal demeaner along with dedication to customer service has been the key to her success. She has extensive knowledge in working with Buyers and Sellers in the area of residential real estate. There are many moving parts throughout the real estate transaction and staying on top of the details and timelines are instrumental to a positive sale and closing.

Upon moving to the St. Augustine area in 2005 with her husband and twin daughters, Shelley was inspired to write a book while decorating her new home. The decorating journey turned spiritual and the book, “Decorating Your Life in Christ” was published. Over the years that followed, Shelley enjoyed sharing with others about her experience and now finds joy in sharing with her customers when the opportunity presents itself.


With a BS degree in Education from the University of Central Florida, Shelley utilizes her training as a teacher in her Real Estate career. Patience throughout the process is necessary and organizational skills are a must! She considers it a challenge in helping to find the perfect home for her customers and assisting Buyers and Sellers navigate through the process.

I met Shelley as she was a sellers agent for a house I had gone to see. Immediately her warm smile and sweet spirit capitavated me and I chose to reconsider my “go it alone” mentally I had adapted trying to do all of the house hunting myself.  All I can say is how pleased I am I decided to work with her. A very lucky person, I usually try to do things myself but Shelley was a real asset to me in finding the right home. We just cannot say good enough things about Shelley, her lovely character and her immediate response to anything that came up during the process of buying our first home.  She was very responsive all the time and very professional - but also personal and caring. During showings, she was able to point out positive aspects of the home, as well as negative ones. I also like to mention that me and my husband moved to the US 7 years ago from Germany, and we were definitely not informed about the whole process of buying a home in the States at all. Shelley was patient and always able to answer all of our questions. We felt very secure and most importantly - we trusted her and didn't felt pressured at all. Shelley's realtor experience and knowledge of the St. Augustine area was an immense help. Once we decided on a house, she always followed up, even when the mortgage lender didn't respond to my requests and I told her about it, she stepped in.  Overall, it was a wonderful experience and Shelley is truly THE BEST Realtor!  ( I am kind of sad since I don't have the daily contact with her anymore - but we'll sure stay in contact and we will see her and Tim again on the Thanksgiving Pie Event. )   Thanks to her we've found our first home and we feel very fortunate to have worked with her. It is a rare find when you come across someone that you immediately trust and know that you will be friends with- long after the business side of the relationship is completed. Shelley is one of those rare finds. I met her when she was working with my sister to sell my parent’s property and then again later when she was selling my sister’s farm and helping her purchase another property. Shelley’s expertise in the real estate field, knowledge of the local areas and professionalism were outstanding. Equally important was her kindness and heart felt caring toward her customers-wanting the best for them and striving to make sure that happens. I had lived in Jacksonville for over 50 years and moved from the area for business reasons about two years ago.  At my request, my son and daughter in law moved in my house-as I was unsure of my future job arrangements. When the market turned, I asked Shelley to help me sell my home-explaining that it would be necessary to help the kids re-establish themselves in either a home for themselves or a property that I purchased- when I could return to Jacksonville. It is no small feat to sell a property when you are out of state and trust your realtor to have your best interest in their hands and that of your children. Shelley became a friend of the family as well as our realtor, at that point. I had lived and raised my children as a single mom in this home for 23 years. She showed the patience, compassion and caring of a parent when she worked with my children to find them a home and a caring friend and professional making sure that my interests and kids were protected. She understands the emotional attachment and memories that families have to their homes and helps them work through the professional and personal side of selling that home. I am planning on moving back to Jacksonville when I retire in a couple of years and the kids are looking to purchase their first home in the near future. We recently sold our home in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Charlotte, NC. I received a letter from you a few weeks ago asking for some feedback and I do apologize for the delay getting back to you. As you can imagine, we are still digging outof this long distance move so things like responses inevitably get delayed. But I did want to drop you a quick note to let you know that our realtor, Shelley Nemethy was nothing short of amazing!!!She was on top of things every step of the way and never hesitated, even for an instant on attacking any issue that arose,be it big or small. A couple of times I asked for things to be done on the weekend and told her she could wait until Mondaysince I didn't want to impact her weekend. She merely laughed and said it was her job to get things done, no matter whatday it was. She was thorough, paid attention to detail, and was even downright funny just at the right times. We ran into one instance regarding the inspection results that I thought was going to be a deal breaker. She never lost her cool and worked with the buyers to get the matter resolved quickly. We were especially concerned with the closing as we were using the proceeds from our JAX house to buy our Charlotte house cash. Again, she was in constant contact with the closing company to make sure the funds were wired promptly and correctly. Everything regarding both closings went flawlessly. I will get around to social media sites once things slow down a little but I did want to let you know how awesome of an agent and person Shelley is. But I'm guessing you already knew that.

Shelley Nemethy & Tim Nemethy are Absolutely the best! We listed our Lake Asbury home with the Nemethy Group in January 2019 and had a contract by mid-February. I was so fortunate to be referred to the Nemethy Team. I am the executor of my cousins estate and needed to sell his property in Palm Coast. I placed a call to Shelly and immediately new I had the right person to do the job. Not living locally, Shelly and Tim lined up someone to clean the inside, another to do outside repairs, pressure wash and haul items away. They visited the property periodically prior to placing the home on the market as we waited for the probate court to give us the green light to proceed with the sale.
