Davidson Realty mini trade show to address concerns about current real estate market
Free event geared toward first-time buyers and move-up market

St. Augustine, Fla. (Mar. XX, 2008) – Thinking about buying a home? Or do you have concerns about your current home or your mortgage? Consumers concerned about negative national media headlines regarding these and other housing-related issues will want to attend a free mini-trade show, hosted by Davidson Realty, Inc., to have their questions answered about Northeast Florida’s real estate market. The event will be held on Thursday, Mar. 27 from 4-7 p.m. at Davidson Realty’s headquarters, located at 100 E. Town Place at the entrance of World Golf Village.

“We have been bombarded with negative national media reports about the future of the housing industry. Consumers have a right to be concerned – and a right to be properly informed about what’s going on with our real estate market. They also deserve to have all of their questions answered,” said Karen Palmer, vice president of residential real estate for Davidson Realty, Inc. “We are providing a forum with experts who can address these concerns.”

The trade show will have booths with professionals from various segments of the real estate industry including builders, pest control companies, water softener companies, insurance agencies, property management, home inspectors, title insurance companies, appraisers and lenders. In addition to answering questions, these companies will also provide complimentary handout materials.

According to Palmer, the following are some of the specific questions that will be addressed:

1) Should we consider buying a house in foreclosure or a short sale?
2) With the conforming loan limits raising, and rates going lower, should we consider refinancing:?
3) How does having a firehouse close to our home affect our rates?
4) We’re thinking of renting our house. What should we know about property management?
5) How has my house value been affected by the current “adjusting” market?

The trade show will also include short presentations by experts, with plenty of time set aside for questions.  “We’ve received numerous calls from individuals who are desperate for real answers, so we decided to put together a program that will be beneficial for current homeowners, prospective homeowners and even renters who aren’t ready to purchase at this time,” said Palmer. “Regardless of your circumstances, this free event will be well worth your time.  You can never have too much knowledge.”
