Love Golf, Spa, Nature contest highlights community’s amenities
St. Augustine, Fla. (May 8, 2008) – Those who enjoy golf, getting pampered and becoming one with nature will love The Neighborhoods of World Golf Village’s new contest. The online challenge targets “GOLFanatics, SPAficionados and NATUREmbracers” and offers four prizes: a trip for two to the British Open, spa treatments at the PGA TOUR Spa Laterra, an eco-adventure tour and a King & Bear golf foursome.
To participate, entrants (ages 18 and up) must go to www.worldgolfrealestate.com, answer three questions about World Golf Village and complete a brief form with contact information. Entries will be accepted from May 2 to June 19, 2008. After the contest deadline, 150 names will be randomly selected from all entrants and those individuals will be invited to an exclusive Winners Party at World Golf Village on June 26. Contestants must be present to win and all winners will be announced at the event, which will feature fun golfing challenges for additional chances to win.
The 137th annual British Open will be held July 17-20 at Lancashire Course at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England. The winner will receive two tickets and a $4,500 travel voucher for accommodations and transportation. Other prizes to be awarded include a round of golf for four at World Golf Village’s King & Bear golf course, a $300 gift certificate to the PGA TOUR Spa Laterra and a private, kayak tour for four.
“Since people think of World Golf Village when they think of premier Florida golf course communities, we wanted to come up with a campaign that would focus on the community’s greatest amenities – golf, nature and world-class spa facilities,” said Sherry Davidson, president of Davidson Realty, marketers of the community.
With more than 2,700 acres set aside for nature preserves, World Golf Village received the 2002 Environmental (ENVY) Award from the Florida Association of Realtors. The community is home to two championship golf courses, the World Golf Hall of Fame & IMAX Theater, the PGA TOUR Spa Laterra, along with parks, a fitness club and a swim and tennis center for residents.
