Davidson Realty names agents of fourth quarter
 

St. Augustine, Fla. (Jan. 9, 2008) — Davidson Realty announces its top agents for the fourth quarter of 2007.  Lyn Sappington was the top sales agent with more than $2.6 million in sales.  She was also once again the company’s top listing agent with 13 listings.  The top producer was Dottie Lay with more than $2.8 million in closings.  The awards honor sales agents for being team players, in addition to meeting or exceeding quarterly sales goals. 

Sappington, who was also the top listing agent for the third quarter of 2007, has risen through the ranks to become one of Davidson Realty’s top agents since joining the company in 2004.  Her real estate resume includes working as a sales agent for D.R. Horton in Hilton Head and Cherry Homes in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she was the reigning agent of the year for seven out of eight years.  She also worked as an onsite sales agent for Providence Country Club in Charlotte and for several national and local builders in North Carolina.  Her background also includes working as a real estate paralegal. 

Dottie has been a member of the Davidson Realty team since 2005.  She returned to real estate after leaving the industry for seven years to tour the States with NASCAR.  She has been one of the company’s consistent top producers since joining the company.  A beaches resident, Lay’s background includes working in real estate in the beaches area for 13 years as a top agent for Watson Realty Corp., where she also worked as a property manager. 

“These ladies are amazing.  Lyn had three transactions during the last week of the year when a lot of folks were taking a break and assuming that no one was out looking for a home during the end of the holiday season,” said Karen Palmer, vice president of residential real estate for Davidson Realty, Inc.  “Dottie was right behind Lyn with $2.3 million in sales and eleven listings and Lyn was trailing Dottie in closings with $2.2 million.  They have been competing with each other and proving that now is a great time to buy.  This is proof that activity breeds activity.”
